Jean L. Tomaselli-Dawkins, CPDT (Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers
Owner/Director Canine Liaisons Behavior & Training Service, founded 1998

For 20 years now Jean has had a distinguished career with animals.  She is recognized as a top-level pet dog trainer and lecturer. Jean is a teacher of other professional dog trainers and a trainer that other professionals frequently consult for advice. She has developed a solid veterinary referral base in the Bucks County & Montgomery County areas of Pennsylvania. She works with local animal rescue groups by offering services to their patrons and consultation to their associates at reduced rates. Jean's animal expertise is well rounded; as a youth she was employed at stables and kennels, attended agricultural high school and was a member of The Future Farmers of America. From there Jean went on to train horses and manage livestock both here and in Europe.  She became a veterinary technician (1990 to 2003) and spent most of that time as a critical care nurse in animal emergency facilities.

During this time Jean realized her passion for animal behavior and perused the knowledge needed to fortify her ambitions. Jean taught classes at Petsmart with enthusiasm for many years. Jean's classes in Pennsylvania were some of the most popular classes in the Petco chain. She oversaw classes at four Petco stores. In 2001 Jean received Private Instructor Certification from Animal Behavior and Training Associates  (ABTA) and is now a contracted instructor for ABTAs'Animal Behavior College. As a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) Jean shares the belief that only Non-aversive, non-compulsive methods will be used for any dog she handles. She regularly attends workshops and lectures on behavior, animal health and humane education.

As an expert in problem solving Jean crafts behavior modification programs for animals that have been written off as un-trainable by other professionals. Her programs have saved the lives of countless numbers of animals and the hearts of their devoted families.

Donna Myers Assistant trainer/Puppy class instructor/group class coordinator

Donna’s affinity with animals has led her towards a life long career as a pet professional.  She has been employed as an assistant veterinary technician, provided pet sitting, dog walking, in-home training services and even organized much needed doggie play groups for underprivileged city dogs. Donna’s brings twenty plus years of hands on experience to Canine Liaisons as well as her creative influence.

By day Donna is an Office Manager / Bookkeeper & she brings those talents to us in her role as Group Class Coordinator.  Donna provides the training for our Puppy Kindergarten Classes, as well as assisting at our Basic Household & Intermediate Classes with her German Shepherd, LuKa & her Shepherd Mix, Kai.

Donna met Jeanie in February 2002 when she contacted Jeanie about Group Classes for LuKa.  LuKa was experiencing anxiety & was fear reactive toward strangers.  He was unable to function calmly or quietly the first few weeks of class, but with patience, love & the proper guidance, today he is a completely different dog & is calm & relaxed in group environments.  Donna believes in Jeanie’s methods so much that she has since signed on to Canine Liaisons team.  Donna’s not just a Trainer / Group Class Coordinator, but she is a client as well.
